Organic farming thrives on the principle of “Prevention is better than Cure”
Following two basic postulates are adopted to achieve the above goal: –
Biodynamic farming consists of four basic components in farming: –
Vedic farming consists of two basic components in farming: –
Seed is the first input in farming… organic farming is incomplete without use of the organic seed.
Organic seed production is application of scientific concepts & natural practices in a combo-package.
Seed is the link between two generation of the same plant species…
its vigor, germinability & sustainability against natural stress conditions increases manifold thru biodynamic method of seed production.
Every seed has inherent adaptability to specific agro-climate ecosystem…
Its adaptability can be stretched at both ends for biotic & abiotic stress conditions by adopting Vedic principles of seed production.
Organic produce can be tagged as “Organic” only after Organic Certification. An organic certified product fetches higher price in the market. APEDA accredited private agencies do the auditing for compliance NOP and/or NPOP norms & facilitate the certification process as ‘third-party certification’ for ‘on & off’ farm organic ventures. PGS certification is ‘peer group’ certification process, which is facilitated by NCONF under Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of Bharat, appointed nodal offices at regional, state & district level department of agriculture offices.
