Since Febuary 2012, PraKriT has been dedicated to training farmers and gardeners in Organic-Vedic-Biodynamic farming. Recognizing urbanites’ potential to grow organic food, we expanded to offer workshops on “Organic Home Gardening” in cities like Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Goa. Over a decade, we’ve embraced the urgency to nurture nature and diversified our offerings to include hand-picked, original, and natural products sourced from across India. Complementing our consultancy services, we advocate for a transformation in agriculture, shifting away from synthetic inputs towards practices harmonious with Mother Nature. PraKriT continues to sail through this era, empowering communities towards sustainable living.
Sujit Chakrabarty is M.Sc. Ag (Horticulture) & PGDBM. Seed production & marketing have been his domain industry. He has been associated with leading seed brands like Indo American Hybrid Seeds & Namdhari Seeds in India.
Sujit had promoted Samriddh Krishi Parivar Pvt. Ltd., Pune in association with few organic farmers in 2002, for door-step delivery of fresh vegetables in branded packaging of farm-gate procurement thru contract farming of organic vegetables He worked in retail chains brands like Subhiksha in Maharashtra, Reliance in Gujarat, and Spinach in Mumbai during 2006-10.
Since 2012, he is fulltime devoted to promotion of Organic Agriculture in India. Same year, he started PRAKRIT KRISHI TANTRA, to provide “Training & Technical Guidance” in Organic & Biodynamic Farming to farmers & home gardeners. Same year, PraKriT was transformed to Prakrit Krishi Tantra LLP.
He is advisor in Vapan Organic Seeds Pvt. Ltd., Pune since its inception in 2023.
Sujit has authored few books on organic agriculture, namely, Organic Home Gardening Made Easy & Arts & Science of Organic Farming.
