Leaves are oval, oblong to spade shaped with a slightly  pointed curved tip. Each leaf is thick textured with lines & creases. Therefore, leaves look like ruffeled with prominent veins spanning across leaf surface. It has typically green to dark green leaves with pale red to maroon stems.
